This corner stand provided few feasible options regarding privacy in this estate where slopes mean neighbours are forced to look over/into eachothers’ homes.  Site analyses and spatial planning lead to the new home being built along the Western road with the garage and service yard area facing the harsh Western sun and main wind direction.  The home opens up onto a large garden area and the first floor enjoys beautiful views over the protected forest area to the East.  The combination of contrasting colour with treated timber, create aesthetically pleasing facades within the design perimeters of the estate guidelines.
